Ricka started her career in insurance in a small two-person office in a small town in South Texas owned by former NFL player and hometown hero, Hugo Hollas. Hugo had a tremendous impact on Ricka’s life and career and the two most important things she learned from him were perseverance and integrity. Ricka went on to install the first agency management system in that office and started her inevitable transition to operations and system management. That transition included training, customer support and conversions for MARS and AMS360, accounting and agency management, and eventually conversions/migrations from AMS360, TAM, and EZLynx to Epic for a large national broker. Along the way, Ricka encountered multiple leaders and mentors that greatly influenced her, ultimately leading to her philosophy “if you put people first, and build common sense processes, your business will experience optimal performance.”
